Position Summary/Purpose of Position     The University of Maryland seeks applicants for the position of Director of the Maryland Transportation Institute (MTI) hosted within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department and the Clark School of Engineering. The individual appointed as the MTI Director must have the professional stature to represent MTI to government agencies (Federal, State, and local), industry partners, and professional organizations. The MTI director needs to have the skills and experience bridging the research to transportation practitioner use. A Ph.D. in transportation or related fields is preferred but not required.
