The City of Apache Junction (AJ) Development Services Department is known for its high level of responsiveness to customers regardless of project scope and scale. The City has a full-time population of 41,739 residents with a winter population of more than 75,000 and is expected to double in size over the next 10-15 years. Apache Junction is nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains and Usery Mountain State Park which offer various recreational activities such as hiking, camping, biking, boating, and fishing in the Tonto National Forest as well as other recreational areas. AJ is currently experiencing residential housing growth as well as new businesses.
