Laboratory Quality Systems Leader
North Hollywood, California
In this role, you will direct the development and improvement of a laboratory-wide quality system. You will lead a region-wide quality process program. In addition, you will lead the establishment and improvement of an integrated quality system in Southern California.
At least ten years of experience in a high-volume clinical laboratory including the demonstrated ability to utilize principles and practices of quality improvement/system
At least five years of experience in a supervisory/managerial position
A master’s degree in clinical laboratory science or a related field or a master’s degree in health care administration, business administration, public administration, or related field with additional studies in a quality management related course
A valid current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or limited specialist license
Other skills/experience should include demonstrable knowledge of statistical tools of quality, techniques, or problem solving and improving work process, making presentations, and computer proficiency
The ability to manage several projects simultaneously, complete projects efficiently and on deadline, sometimes with necessarily little lead-time and be influential and effective in both written and verbal communication skills (negotiation, listening, and collaboration)
Demonstrated effectiveness in staff development, team building, conflict resolution and group interaction
Experience at presenting
Knowledge of federal, state, local, and accreditation agency regulations
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
