Ventura is one of biggest cities in California to rely solely on local water supplies, however, prolonged drought and regulations have reduced the local water supply. To prepare for the future, the VenturaWaterPure Program Director will provide project management services during the design and construction phases of an Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF). The ideal candidate is a highly skilled project manager who has successfully guided large, complex water purification projects through design, permitting, land use review, regulatory approval, environmental clearance, construction, operations and maintenance. They are an excellent communicator and trust builder who keeps projects on schedule and within budget.
Requires education, training and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; 5 years of experience leading planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater utility infrastructure projects for municipal agencies or special districts; and 2 years of supervisory experience. Also requires California CE registration at the time of appointment. PMP certification and prior experience working with SWRCB and CCC are highly desired.
Salary: $131,505-$176,219, DOQ + benefits
