The Institute of Bioengineering of the School of Engineering at EPFL is soliciting applications for a tenure track assistant professor or tenured associate professor in Translational Cancer Engineering. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: innovative approaches to detecting, monitoring and treating cancer; stem cell, organoid and organ / tumor-on-a-chip technology; synthetic biology and biomolecular engineering; nanomaterials, and immune-engineering.
The successful candidate will start a new laboratory in the Agora Translational Cancer Research Building at the Canton of Vaud University Hospital (CHUV) and EPFL. Agora is a unique, synergistic environment with the objective to translate cancer therapy from the bench to the clinic (https://www.isrec.ch/en/agora/objective). It brings together investigators from four institutions (University of Lausanne, and its branch of the Ludwig Institute, CHUV and EPFL) and multiple disciplines (including bioengineers, bioinformaticians, chemists, cancer biologists, imaging experts and cancer therapy investigators).
