AMEC’s center of excellence for geochemical expertise is located in Mississauga, where we provide world-class mining geochemical consulting services throughout Canada and around the world. Our team includes geochemists with backgrounds in geology, soil chemistry and engineering. Qualifications: · Masters or PhD from an accredited university in an applicable field (geochemistry, soil chemistry, geology, agrology, engineering); · 10+ years experience, preferably within an environmental consulting firm or mining company; · Professional accreditation (PGeo, PEng etc.) an asset but not a requirement; · Excellent verbal and written communication skills; · Client-driven approach to deliverables and timelines; · Demonstrated expertise in mining geochemistry, including: o Acid Rock Drainage and Metal Leaching; o Mine waste geochemistry assessment; o Geochemical sampling design and analytical methods; o Geochemical modeling and predictive methods; · Willingness to travel is encouraged but not required; · Interest in / ability to manage consulting projects.
